Brush Park's Romantic Victorian Ruins

Photographs by Jon Cutrell via Flickr.

Ruin porn protesters will want to avert their eyes! Photographer Jon Cutrell has been collecting images of Victorian ruins in Brush Park since 1998. A recent Curbed editor drive-by confirms that several of these have been renovated in more recent years, but the collection still reads as romantic ode to decaying five-and-six bedroom homes. If you do decide to shop the area for a fixer-upper, note that demolition has left some empty lots for expanding several of the yards. Jon has also included some history notes for your perusal in this immense, 72-image set.
