Vinyl has been on a comeback over the last decade. And since Third Man Records opened its Vinyl Pressing Plant, Detroiters can even watch their vinyl being made in front of them.
There have always been plenty of places around the city to dig through crates and find that hidden gem you've been looking for. But more stores have opened in recent years and it’s never been better time to be a record collector in metro Detroit.
Record Store Day is Saturday, April 13 this year, and many of these shops will have special events and deals throughout the day. See the official list of RSD participants to find out what each is offering, especially since some sought-after items can sell out quick.
