When Detroit Meets Brooklyn Things Get Sexy

New, 6 comments

We've all heard it before: Detroit is the new Brooklyn! The main arguments for this include our cheap real estate and growing resident artist population. You see, Brooklyn can't be the new Brooklyn because it got too expensive and very much like its neighbor Manhattan. Detroit, being scrappier, reminds this borough of New York City of its old self. But what happens when old and new meet? Well if this flier forwarded to us by a gallery in Royal Oak is any indication, very, very sexy things! Apparently they've borrowed three Brooklyn artists to make a large public mural on Woodward Ave in Downtown Detroit. [Royal Oak gallery Press Release]
