Will it be a Whole Foods v. Meijer face off in the race to get a mega grocery chain open within Detroit's city limits? The Michigan-based Meijer grocery chain got approval from the Michigan Economic Growth Authority Tuesday to receive tax breaks for a project on the grounds of the old Redford High School at Grand River and McNichols.
