The Wurlitzer Building Begins a Clean Up "Blitz" Today

New, 1 comment

Happy Monday! Ready for a fresh start in this short week? Apparently, the Wurlitzer building is. After multiple court dates over safety concerns including bricks that fell from the structure, the Free Press tells us that today will kick off a "five-day blitz to clear vermin, rubbish and standing water from under the crumbling 14-story structure." Man! Someone's going to spend Thanksgiving in a hardhat chasing vermin? Once again, this building seems to be most unkind. Neighbors have been arguing about the safety hazards for almost three years, but now it would seem Wayne County Circuit Judge Robert Colombo is not going to take it anymore; he's reviewed the repair schedule and intends to make sure it happens.
