Lofts At Merchants Row Continues To Court Retail

On Monday, we brought you the story of some nightclub neighbors that downtown loft residents didn't like. Today, we bring you the news that while late night drinking and noise are still out, retail is in! After the success of a pop-up store in June that brought 41 kiosks to a 4,000-square-foot space in the Lofts at Merchants row, a second boutique will open three days a week for the month of September. And what sort of collections do our Loft-living locals prefer? Surprisingly Preppy Ones.

The original pop-up will keep stocking the shelves for the ladies, while the second space will be 3,100-square-feet of stuff for men and the home. Retailers signed on include Lily Pulitzer, Paradise Pen, Somerset Collection, Henri Bendel and Kate Spade. Basically, it is the New Birmingham.
