Hantz Forests Forges Ahead in Urban Agriculture Experiment

Two years ago, businessman John Hantz proposed a commercial farm for the city that unleashed the fury of angry community growers. With dirt-covered fists raised in action they decried corporate competition and the Hantz plan to buy 2,000 acres for food crops was left in limbo awaiting city approval. In the meantime Hantz can't keep his shovel out of the dirt and intends to plant 1,000 oak tree saplings this fall. Hantz Forests bought 3.5 acres from the city, most of which look like this lot just east of Hamtramck. Can a neighborhood named Hamtramck Forests be far off?
