Refusing to take a back-seat to Detroit's urban agriculture movement, Ferndale has started squawking for permission to build back yard chicken coops. Armed with an example coop and three chickens, suburban bird-lovers pled with City Hall including a former Mayor against the idea. No word yet on if the preferred outcome is BBQ or nuggets.
