Arts Money Arriving By Recovery Engine to Woodward Ave

New, 1 comment

A program called ArtPlace, announced in the New York Times yesterday, is going to spiff up Woodward Avenue with grants and loans from the National Endowment for the Arts. ArtPlace won't officially be announced until sometime today, but here's the word:

In Detroit a stretch of Woodward Avenue will gain a music center, pedestrian greenways, improved museum space and a new building for start-up companies. There are 34 projects around the country, including locations such as St. Paul, MN and the neighborhood of East Harlem in New York City. · Consortium Views Arts as Engines of Recovery [NY Times]
