Royal Oak would like you to know it's not JUST some post-college playground; it can grow up! Not all the real adults are in Birmingham! “Everything in Royal Oak is geared toward 21-year-olds; they have a lot of restaurants here but not really any entertainment for anyone that isn’t in their early 20s,” said business owner Tony Kasab. To rectify this the city is adding a piano bar chock full of champagne (which Kasab is behind) and an upscale Mexican restaurant to the same block as the Barnes & Noble. Because nothing says "I am comfortable being in my 30s" like paying $15 for tortilla chips and listening to Sinatra classics. [Royal Oak Patch]
