Team Detroit's Dearborn HQ Wins a LEED Silver Certificate

It may not be the Google Offices of Mountain View, CA, but as it turns out, that big ol' Team Detroit Headquarters building that you can't miss from the Southfield Freeway is a rad place to work. In addition to perks that the Ad Agency offers like lounges with fuse ball tables and mini-concerts for employees, there is now the distinction of a super-sustainable building. Team Detroit announced last week that the Dearborn headquarters building (owned by Ford Land) won a LEED Silver certificate for existing buildings operations and maintenance by the U.S. Green Building Council. The press release chocks it up to many small efforts, which include keeping the lights switched off at night, matching the heating and cooling systems with occupancy hours, and stocking the restrooms with recycled paper towels and using soy-based ink and eco-friendly paper throughout print production.
