Cafe 1515 Broadway, one of the only downtown coffee shops, is in a building that is also home to the cafe owner, Christopher Jaszczak. Between 2008-2010, Chris fell behind on the payments on his 11.25% interest mortgage loan and 1515 Broadway was placed in foreclosure. But now that his income has recovered, Citi Bank is not willing to work with him and so there is now a rally to save the Cafe at 1515 Broadway. Man, these guys have been ducking the Wurlitzer Building's falling bricks and now this? Real estate is so rough sometimes. [Facebook]
