As if the Department of Human Services for Detroit does not have its work cut out for it, now the ceiling is falling in on its office. Literally. And it is made of concrete. Employees and union members implored Mayor Dave Bing's administration not to move them to the crumbling city-owed building (ironically called the Herman Kiefer Health Complex) two months ago. Seems like the Mayor is getting a big "We Told You So" today and the employees should be getting hard hats to go with the smug sense of being right. [Freep]
