Skidmore Studio's Move to The Madison Theatre Building

The DC3 Presents the Speakers Bureau: Skidmore Studio from DETROIT LIVES! on Vimeo.

Skidmore Studio, a creative services firm, celebrated the opening of their Detroit office last month in a building owned by (who else?) Dan Gilbert. The new office is in the Madison Theatre Building adjacent to the Broderick Tower site and just above Angelina's. Patrick Thompson took charge of the interior design for the 10,000 square-foot office. Skidmore departed from a leased space at 301 W. 4th Street in Royal Oak to return to the city where they were founded in 1959. We took a preview of the space, which turned out rather fabulous, last month but are still waiting on the official photos. In the meantime, Detroit Lives posted a video made during the renovation phase two days ago; enjoy watching the cubicles go in!
