Yesterday's Detroit News gentrification story presented the tale of a house that was demolished as an example of tensions created by old and new residents. Today, MLive debunks that. North Corktown (NoCo) resident Alexander Samul says that both groups wanted the city to remove the blighted "art house" property after it had attracted squatters.
