As mentioned Friday, the City of Detroit will be selling Lafayette Towers, the two foreclosed residential towers designed by Mies Van Der Rohe. The information (a 268-page RFP!) is now posted on the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation's site. There will be a meeting for interested buyers on October 10, 2012 in DEGC and serious buyers will have to turn in their proposals on October 24, 2012. Together, the two 22-story Tower buildings offer 584 units. Nearby, a third tower designed by Mies, the Pavilion, has its own management (and is not in foreclosure).
