Plan In The Works To Redevelop Highland Park's Ford Plant

There is an ongoing negotiation to acquire the Ford Highland Park plant building and turn it into a tourist destination. While operating the car company out of this Albert Kahn-designed building, Henry Ford devising the moving assembly line and $5 per day salary that expanded the middle class. The Bloomfield Hills-based National Equity Corp., currently owns the 40,000-square-foot site and is talking about selling it for $550,000 to the Woodward Avenue Action Association. WAAA is seeking another $200,000 to close the deal.
