In my mind, just getting a to the critical mass of residents in the down/brush/mid areas (of which we are still realistically quite a ways off) that will allow for street-level businesses to safely open without wealthy/charitable/crazy benefactors or significant grants, prizes, or subsidies should be priority number one. To the extent that [this house] re-utilizes old structures or uses magazine-publishable design, hooray.
