This Five Bedroom Is Rather Lovely For a $35,000 Home

New, 6 comments

Just north of New Center and south of Boston-Edison lies Virginia Park, which was laid out as an upper-middle class enclave in the late 1800s. Listed just this week in the nabe is a five bedroom asking a mere $35,000. The home, built in 1914, is 2,800 square feet and promises that its had many updates over the last four years. Considering the price, it seems to be in very decent shape; the hardwood floors and giant fireplace (dang, it is cold outside) are quite appealing. It's just one block off of Woodward, which is the more prime end of Virginia Park than the other side of the Lodge Freeway (note to Detroit: highways that sever neighborhoods are stupid).
