Vote For the Most Horrific Renters' Week Horror Story

Curbed Horror Stories are firsthand reader reports about terrible Detroit apartment experiences past and present. This week, in honor of Renters' Week, we're having a rental horror story showdown. We've now posted three horror stories for your consideration in our contest on which was most horrible. We're now opening the polls to decide who will advance to the national round of our network-wide contest.

Let's recap the horror stories. The first one had a landlord that sends notices for overdue rent with a fake District Court label. In second one, a renter moved in to find that the previous renter left food in the fridge, which was unplugged and now full of maggots. And in the third, renters had a host of issues, including white supremacist neighbors that blasted hate music.
