A successful partnership between Hurricane Sandy and dedicated Detroiters has resulted in the lowest number of Halloween-time fires on record. Combating Detroit's arson-tastic Devil's Night pastime of setting fires on Halloween, the Angels' Night youth curfew and volunteer patrols in combination with the nasty weather meant the city received 25% fewer fire calls than it would on a typical day.
