Before you head out on a gluttonous leftover-fueled Black Friday extravaganza of holiday shopping, reconsider that shopping list. Small Business Saturday is Nov. 24, and instead of dumping all your cash at big box retailers or department stores, maybe save some for the local guys. City Bird and Nest are becoming retail staples in Midtown, but look for Hugh (classic bachelor pad retail and Hatch 2011 winner) and Nora (Scandanavian housewares, Japanese pottery, and Detroit jewelry) as they celebrate openings just down the street in the Auburn.
