Well, it's about time. According to the Detroit Free Press, The Broderick Tower welcomed its first residents on Friday with five moving in almost immediately, and it was expected that over 50 would move in this past weekend. The 34-story, 125-apartment building had originally planned for September occupancy, but faced some delays. The timing was remarkable considering the Auburn accepted residents the day before.
From what we hear, move-in at the Broderick went much smoother than its inspections. According to one of our readers, move-in "was a breeze" and the staff was "really helpful." Some residents even received a chips and salsa housewarming gift from the building.
Did you move into The Broderick this weekend? We'd love to hear from you. Send your thoughts and pictures to detroit@curbed.com.
