In response to last Thursday's announcement that Dan Gilbert's Real Estate company, Rock Ventures, would build a "Z" shaped building (natch, now dubbed The Z Development) there was some difficulty visualizing what would likely be Zorro's favorite Detroit structure. Here now, this handy map explains the Z-ness of the parking garage/retail structure which will manage to face both Broadway Street and Library Street and cover two downtown street corners. Construction on the 535,000 square foot building begins this month.
