Residents Informed Of New Lafayette Towers Owner

New, 10 comments

We've just received this memo from a resident, which states the the Lafayette Towers have been sold. Designed by noted architect Mies Van Der Rohe, the Lafayette Towers have been owned by the City of Detroit since September. The city has actively been looking for a developer to take control since then, and it appears they've succeeded. The contents of the memo after the jump!

According to the memo, the Lafayette Towers have been sold to Lafayette Ventures, LLC . The memo also states that the Fourmidable Group has been retained to manage the property, and promises positive improvements to the towers. We've emailed a city employee for comment, and we'll update you as soon as we have more info.
