Like Clockwork

Oh the endless march of time. Like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives! But for one visitor to the Detroit Historical Museum yesterday, time stood still. Or at least that might have been his goal when he vandalized a 100-year-old historic clock. According to museum records, the clock, also known as Meier’s “Wonderful Clock,” was built in Detroit more than a century ago to demonstrate the skill of clockmaker Louis Meier Sr. The clock served to advertise his jewelry store located on Gratiot and East Grand Boulevard. Silly criminals; Detroit has endless opportunities for vandalism. No need to end up in Police custody over it! [Freep]
