We've run across a site for following the progress at the GAR Building renovation. (AKA the transformation of downtown's CASTLE!) The Grand Army of the Republic Building was built in 1897 and was purchased last November for $220,000. This post informs us that almost 100 sheets of protective plywood which had been in place for nearly 30 years are now gone, making it much easier to find the architectural treasures hiding in there.
