Weird Facts About Packard Plant Owner

In an article about how Packard Plant owner Dominic Cristini is not getting city or state funding for the demo, the Free Press has us wondering, who the hell IS this guy? He obtained the company Bioresource (which still owns the Packard Plant) after the death of Edward Portwood. In 1998, the state sought to demolish the plant but Cristini fought that. "At one point, the city’s gang squad was brought in to watch over the plant while Cristini was holed up inside, ordering meals from a Hamtramck bar." Huh? There is a Hamtramck bar that delivers? Oh also Cristini was charged with dealing Ecstasy out of an old schoolhouse where he also held rave parties and spent 70 months in prison on the charge. [Freep]
