Design Disaster Dan

Dan Gilbert's design disasters are making Comic Sans waves in the blogosphere once again. Writes Timothy of Locus Pocus (a blog that "ruminat[es] on human development and the built environment"), "...we should be particularly alarmed that one man appears to be on a maniacal quest to remake the city in the image of Comic Sans." Still, as Timothy points out, we can't be too hard on the guy: "Unlike Detroit’s other billionaires, Mr. Gilbert actually locates businesses in the buildings he buys, rather than turning them into parking lots or letting them sit around in a state of increasing decay." STILL ... just because one can buy buildings doesn't mean one can buy taste. [Locus Pocus]
