The debate that started when Detroit's MOCAD picked two NYC firms for their renovation continues (via Architect and Detroit AIA Prez Frank Arvan) in Model D today. He's toned down his complaint towards the art museum, but seems more mad about how the Detroit design community gets treated round here. He says if local clients don't offer commission to local design firms, they will never get their chance to prove themselves. "It’s a regressive spiral that has lead to creative stagnation.
