Farmington Hills High Schooler Creates Twitter Trending Topic To Recreate "Project X" In Foreclosed Home

New, 2 comments

"Project X," the movie about a high school party that spirals out of control, has a big fan in a Farmington Hills, MI High School student with a twitter account. Would-be ultimate party thrower "Mikey" almost pulled off his own ultimate party in a foreclosed house on Briarwyke Drive in Farmington Hills. The tweet invite he sent out about a Project X-style party included the home’s address and spread through Twitter to the point of one new message each second; teens from Ohio, New York and Arizona planned to attend the shindig. Then ten squad cars showed up prompting Mikey’s father, Goran Vasovski, to show up and cancel Mikey's dreams. “They want to know if I’m going to ground him, beat him. I’m going to talk to him and make sure he understands what the Internet can do," Vasovski said.
UPDATE: Mikey got an internship offer (paid!) from the car blog Jalopnik. Surely his dad can't ground him now!
