Crain's Detroit is saying that Pleasant Ridge's wine bar, Cork, "has had quite the sobering year." An ownership dispute led Crutchfield Inc., the company that owns the wine bar and restaurant, to file for Chapter 11 protection on April 23 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Detroit. We'd hate to see the place go out of business (they are promising not to, yet) but we'd be lying if we said that we would not bring a truck and a big smile to the liquidation sale of Cork's mighty fine liquids.
