"Oh hey girl! Why don't you come sit on the couch and read Dwell Magazine with me? Then I'll write you a song with that guitar over there next to the modern couch." After Five Detroit took a tour of Brian Ellison's house, a 1923 condo in Indian Village Manor and, aside from that glass block under the bar, it was rather polished. The dude's installed a modern kitchen (his favorite room) which includes a concrete island top made at the Russell Industrial Complex. Speaking of looking good, The After Five Detroit blog's redesign itself is rather appealing. We're looking forward to more home tours, especially if you are all design mag addicts, too.
