The Detroit News has posted an image of some demo at the old MGM Grand Parking garage. Detroit's Police HQ will move into the adjacent former Casino building which should have a new facade come September. The city bought the building for $6.3 million and will move employees out of an 89-year-old Albert Kahn-designed HQ where, "few drinking fountains work; fuses often blow — and some police who work there complain they have to shake out their belongings after their shifts, lest they bring home any unwanted roaches.
