Crain's has more deets on the a former Pontiac-Buick-GMC auto dealership at 400 N. Main St. in Royal Oak where there is a proposal for an eight-story hotel. One of the developers is a Southfield firm and they used an architecture firm in RO, Krieger/Klatt, for the plans. From what we can tell, the rendering is not too far from your average Marriott, so don't go tossing around the word "boutique" on this one. Fresard Investments is the property owner of record with the city; the dealership carried the name of Jim Fresard when it was in operation. [Crain's]
