The Free Press is reporting that the $299 Mill renovation of Detroit's Cobo Center is about half done, but that the convention center is already booking new business based on buzz factor. Recently crews started demolishing parts of Cobo Arena and will soon begin demo work on Cobo's waterfront side. This will allow for a new multistory atrium and lobby entrance that Cobo folks are touting as a highlight. [Freep]
