The Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation had a pretty damn good day yesterday at the 7th Annual Neighborhood Open House. There were 14 homes on the market and available for the public to peruse, of which five had been renovated by the GRDC. Tom Goddeeris, Executive Director, says he's confident that all five of those will sell soon. Two had pending offers prior to yesterday, and while he does not have the new offers in hand yet, the real estate agents helping out with the tour reported that interest was high and buyers seemed serious. They are expecting those offers to come in very soon. All in all, it was pretty solid work. It's refreshing to see an organization take properties listed for less than $100 K so seriously; the home our photographer toured at 16185 Rosemont was clean and well-lit, staged with furniture, and even had a few plants and cut flowers; the ask was $80 K for the three-bedroom with 1,720 square feet. Other agents should take note that a little presentation can go a long way!
