Still Here! For Now. Charlevoix Hotel Demo Request Denied

The Owner of the Charlevoix Hotel, Ralph Sachs, did not attend last night's meeting about his proposal to demolish the property. In a meeting that began at 5:30, the discussion of the demo had to wait til late, about 9:00 pm, to begin. The result? Request for demo denied! He's been give 15 days to submit plans to "mothball" the building, aka, secure it so it stops dropping pieces of itself into the street. (In March some fell onto a car). We'll have a full report on the event later today. In the meantime, these photos were taken just yesterday.
