Over in Ohio, the Fidlay publication called The Courier caught up with its most famous Detroit mansion scrapper over the weekend: Mike Mallett. He told the news that he bought the Van Dyke mansion because "I saw it (mansion) on ReMax and I couldn't believe how cheap it was." He called the arrests "out of control" and says his new plan for the building might just be to "sit on it, keep the roof from leaking, keep it secure and wait for the economy to come back in 10 years or so."
