Investigating the near polar opposite of the Bloomberg piece we discussed earlier, Motor City Muckraker takes issue with the Detroit News' sensational coverage of the two murdered Westland teens. While the article in question initially suggests the pair had just come into town to visit a relative (suggesting that this could happen to anyone from Royal Oak or Garden City who stopped by to see the Tigers), it downplays evidence that the two victims were in fact looking to buy drugs. Moral of the story: if something should befall you while you are maybe buying drugs, many people who you do not know may get very angry at each other. [Motor City Muckraker]
