Things are pretty much Kahn-put for the American Beauty Iron Works building off of Woodward Avenue. By our estimate when these photos were taken this morning, about 30 % was still standing. Wayne State University took the building down but will be redeveloping its neighbor, the former Dalgleish Cadillac building on Cass Avenue. According to Crain's, the rehab will begin in November; the Dalgleish Cadillac was also designed by Architect Albert Kahn. You win one, you lose one. Too bad they could not just make it Kahn-dos.
