guest #2, I'd like to know what parks the size of Belle Isle you have been to that haven't had private investment or private business in some capacity. The city/state should use money on police protection and education to the extent that they can by letting some tax revenue-creating entities in. Highly regulated and only in small areas. I consider myself to be center-left but the hatred of "private entities" and profit in Detroit is out of this world. A winery in other parts of town? Really? Do you really think the type of people who enjoy wine tastings are going to take a armored vehicle through the Eastside to a winery on the middle of nowhere? Absolutely not. They would go to Windsor first. Windsor has wineries so to say they cannot exist in Detroit is also a fallacy. -Anon [Parks and Rec]
