Courtyard Coop Designed By Mies Van Der Rohe Fetches $150 K

New, 6 comments

The pictures above show what a Lafayette Park coop designed by Mies Van Der Rohe looked like when a buyer snagged it for $150,000 on July 20. But the story has already changed. A few weeks ago they started gutting it for a design overhaul. We'll report back on a later date. In the meantime, let's point out that this is one of the rare courtyard units that comes with a private enclosed backyard. These units are smaller (1,250 square feet) than the two-story Mies-designed coops (usually 1,500 square feet) but still come with a sizable basement.
