The bane of residences everywhere seemingly made a court appearance Thursday, with courtroom staff sent home and exterminators called after a bailiff at the 36th District Court saw suspicious insects crawling on a witness. Although no evidence was found of bedbugs in the courtroom, the false alarm draws attention to Detroit's having climbed to #3 in Orkin's national rankings of bedbug-infested cities.
