Two-Bedroom Condo Asks $75 K For A Short Sale

New, 2 comments

Here now, From Curbed Marketplace, highlighting an intriguing real estate listing from the many thousands of properties found in the Curbed Marketplace

Let's start with the bad: the photos here needed some better lighting. Then there is this line from the listing text, "FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO BE PART OF THE "D's" RETURN!" Which is, yes, like saying this neighborhood is still working on that turn-around thing and might not be Corktown North yet.

But there are some good things here too.

This short sale with an ask of $74,900 was built in 2006, so everything is fairly new. We're appreciative to the builder for using brick on the exterior and not something too horribly cheap-looking, as tends to happen in Detroit new construction. The 1,254 square foot home has two bedrooms, one full bathroom, one half bathroom and a two-car garage. It is also just a half block from a CVS, which no one really thinks is important until the house is out of toilet paper and some must be acquired STAT. If you happen to had a gig in the Fisher Building, this place might just be ideal (and if not, you can still enjoy the ceilings in that Albert Kahn building). As for the interior, the hardwood floors and the kitchen are pretty nice but the bathrooms could use a little remodeling.
