As previously mentioned on this site, Michigan is the fifth fattest state. A report released Tuesday makes it sound even worse: nearly 1 in 3 Michigan adults were obese in 2011 and if things carry on this way, 60 percent of adults will be obese by 2030. So in our fair city, the town that the census keeps saying only loses bodies, the bodies themselves only gain. Maybe they should count population by amount of food eaten? 700,000 people? Yeah but they eat enough for 933,000 people. [The Detroit News]
