Former Chinatown Restaurant Chops $85K From Asking Price

New, 14 comments

A piece of Detroit's Chinatown is again for sale after briefly dropping off the market to undergo a China-sized pricechop. Previously listed at $485K, the ask just dropped all the way down to $399,900. Assuming you're unwilling to do math before noon, that means a pricechop total $85,100! Realtors and commenters seem to agree that this building is in terrible shape, and the location at Cass and Peterboro isn't exactly desirable yet. If restored, the new owner would have 8,250 square feet of restaurant space to work with, as well as enough sidewalk space to make a play at some outdoor seating. They also wouldn't have to deal with that traffic light at the intersection—the city plans on taking it down sometime this year.
