San Francisco's Little-Known Tribute to Detroit's Old Streetcars

When Detroit's final streetcar routes were shut down in 1956, Mexico City bought up nearly 200 of our most modern "PCC" cars, which were nearly brand new. It's said that most of Detroit's old streetcars roamed the streets of Mexico City until the mid-80s, when many were destroyed during a major earthquake.
