There's a loft space opening up at art-centric 71 Garfield, a renovated live/work building in the Sugar Hill Arts District. It's an 890-square-foot unit asking $1,168/month. That's a lot of dough for a smallish space, but there are perks: Heat, water, electricity, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer use, and parking are all included. It's also the only building we know of that can claim an in-house tea room. Renovated from a burned-out shell in 2010, the building is partially solar-powered, utilizes geothermal heating, and has a rooftop water collection system. [Photo Credit: Sugar Hill Detroit]
