Remodeled Lafayette Park Co-Op Confidently Demands $140K

Among Detroit's freshest listings is this Mies van der Rohe condo. We saw several fixer-upper units from these buildings during summertime's strong market, probably from longtime owners cashing out during buying season. This three-bedroom unit is a step above, offering a remodeled kitchen, bathroom, and an Ikea-clad interior of cheery colors. Those upgrades, however, have jacked the asking price up to an unprecedented $140K.
Consider this: Just a couple doors down, the neighbor's (slightly dated) condo was asking $130K when it hit market roughly three months ago. Unable to sell, it recently chopped $5K from the ask.
